We met in June. The plans we discussed over dinner were literally the best. (All I can say is it included a nugget bar…a dream of mine) I was excited. We met again in October. We had a blast during their engagement session early one overcast morning. Most of their plans were finalized by this point. The excitement to finally celebrate their marriage was visible in every photo taken that morning. We spoke on the phone in February. The timeline was created. Everything was ready to go. Then COVID-19 made its presence known a week before they were going to say I do. Things changed.
Katey and Lane’s day went from plans of a big celebration to one with just those closest to them. Things did have to change due to circumstances out of their control. You know what didn’t change though? Katey and Lane’s love for each other. Their excitement to celebrate something so special. They still were husband and wife as they left Meadow Hill Farm that evening. And let’s be honest, they both looked A M A Z I N G ! When I showed up that afternoon, you would have never known that things had been replanned and adapted in the last four days. Katey was kind and caring for those around her. And….. well, Lane will still goofing off, joking around with everyone. I admire their positivity and their ability to adapt.
Katey and Lane, there is no doubt in my mind that you two were made for each other. I think your wedding day only confirmed that for those, who were in attendance. I am honored that I got to be a small part of something so special. I pray that you guys share a lifetime of changes that will only make you stronger together!
