The church steeple. The brick. The teal windows. The blue and white stairs. They had seen a lot and could tell countless stories. They knew Sara as a little girl. And they were there when she made life long friends. They had watched her learn and grow into an ambitious young woman. And they saw how her smile makes people feel loved. They were happy when a new worship leader came in. And they saw him grow into a leader. They applauded Sean as he encouraged others to step into new roles. And they were even there when Sara met Sean and something began to develop. They watched as their relationship grew from attraction to love. They celebrated the amazing moments… and offered comfort in the not so amazing moments. So naturally, they were there to witness Sara and Sean’s forever commitment to love, support, and inspire each other. This church is more than building. It is the backdrop for the beginning of Sara and Sean’s story.
Sara and Sean’s story was one that I immediately connected with at our initial meeting. I love the fact that they met through church. And I loved that it is where the wedding took place. As their wedding day progressed and I moved throughout the church campus, I heard story after story from over the years. I heard of how Sara’s organizational skills were put to good use. Or how Sean made some of his best friends by asking them to help lead worship. And saw how their church family rallied around them all day long, helping with this, and assisting with that. To me, Sara and Sean couldn’t have picked a more perfect location to say “I do”.
Sara and Sean, I pray that your relationship continues to be one centered around Christ. One that continues to give gifts of laughter and joy. I pray that even in those hard moments of marriage, you can once again go back to the beginning and find each other again. Thank you both for allowing me to celebrate with you guys. Thank you for having such fun friends! And lastly, I really hope I can take pictures of you two, when its sunny and warm:) I am wishing you the very best. Congratulations!
