I met Ashley back at the beginning of this year over lunch. It was one of those lunches where you just didn't want it to end. Ashley is one of those people who wears a smile all the time and makes you feel like her best friend when you are with her. Honestly, I could have listened to Ashley talk about Aaron for hours. Every time she referred to him, her eyes would glow. When she recounted their first date, she couldn't stop smiling. By the end of lunch, I could hardly wait for their engagement session and to meet Aaron. Several months passed before I actually got to meet Ashley's fiancé. All I will say is that she was not lying. Aaron was kind, hilarious, and so very in love with Ashley. Even though it was a hot and an extremely humid day, he didn't complain during their engagement session, because he knew how important this was for Ashley. He would even grab my camera bag for me every time I left it several yards away. (which if you know me, it happens most of the session due to me talking and not paying attention.) And oh my goodness, he had Ashley literally laughing the entire time.
Ashley + Aaron's engagement session began fun and lighthearted and ended sincere and romantic as light fog settled in over Milky Way Farm. I believe, it represents exactly what marriage is supposed to be full of... varying moments of joy, heaviness, and even difficulty lived together. Aaron + Ashley, I pray that your marriage will have more moments of joy that difficulty. However, when the difficulty comes you will choose to endure it together. I am excitedly counting down the days until you say "I do"!
