Everything was swirling around her. Her family and friends were pampering, loving, and making sure everything was perfect. Renee, however, was centered and calm. She sat there soaking up the love that was being poured on her in buckets. You could see the gratitude in her eyes as she sat there smiling, anticipating marrying her future husband. Meanwhile, Kevin, her fiancé was hanging out with his family. Joking around with his siblings, being loved on by his parents, and double checking his kids had everything they needed. These two were the calmest bride and groom that I have ever worked with. They knew that this day was one for the books. They knew it was a day to slow down and appreciate. They knew exactly the gravity of this marriage they were about to enter into and they celebrated that.
Throughout the day, we were able to speak with several family members and friends. Every single one of them was working hard to make sure Kevin and Renee's day was perfect and not because they felt they had to, but because they wanted to. And every time Renee or Kevin saw them, there was always a thank you and sometimes, tears. The whole day was centered around love and gratitude from these simple thank you's to offering communion during the ceremony. The atmosphere was so unique and sincere.
Renee and Kevin, know that your day was such an honor to be a part of from the details to the relationships. It is my hope that this blog post along with your photographs will serve as reminders of the perfect day that began your journey together. Thank you!
Special thanks to Kayla for helping me out and being with me through the entire day! She second shot, she ran up and down the three floors of the building, and helped me climb on things that I later fell off of. I seriously couldn't have done it without her!
