It was St. Patrick's Day, but thankfully they chanced being pinched and wore shades of red and denim. Getting out of the car and spotting these two, I knew that our small town would be the perfect backdrop to Margaret and Drew's session. Our session was full of adventures and we never left Pulaski's square. The various alleyways and unique structures not only provided beautiful portrait composition, but made the session exciting (at least, I did.) I loved every minute of our exploration.
Margaret and I have known each other for several years. I honestly have always felt we were kindred spirits. We both loved Student Council and anything to do with leadership. We both are passionate about photography. And....Okay, so those might be the only things we really have in common. Maybe I really mean that I want to be Margaret's kindred spirit. Yeah, that's probably more accurate. Margaret has always been this kind and caring person. She has this gentle, but passionate spirit about her. And then there is Drew. Drew and I had only met briefly the day before. And I am fairly certain I did that thing that I do that I wish I didn't. The thing where I am too loud, too excited, and talk way too fast all the while not really sure what I am saying. Something like "Hi, I am Savannah. And you are Drew. You are Margaret's boyfriend. I am so happy to meet you. Also, I am the one taking pictures of you. Okay, got to go!" So, I can only imagine what Drew thought. However, my first impression of Drew was that he is quiet. It turns out Drew was quiet, but he was also really funny. Not only that but he was so patient and did everything I asked with no complaints.
Margaret and Drew, thank you for letting me spend an afternoon with you exploring our small town of Pulaski!
